This is one of the most fun/scariest things I have ever done. Hosting a dinner for 50 of your closest Wedding Industry friends is so exciting, but just a tad intimidating. BUT, I am so glad I did it. It was so great to spend the evening gathered around others that get you. I was introduced to this group about 8 months ago and was so honored and thankful to be a part of a community that is so intentional on building one another up and creating a place that is safe. These people are from all walks of life and experience, with one goal in mind, to make something beautiful.

These people are seriously the best.

A HUGE shout out to all the vendors that made this night a dream!

YALL. Aren’t Mollie & Jacob just the most adorable couple ever?! I met Mollie a while back when she first reached out about me helping with her wedding and loved her sweet heart. She has been so patient through the planning and has never lost sight of just wanting to marry her sweet fiancé. Now, enjoy these gorgeous photos from Jennefer Wilson Photography!

This post is a long time coming and such a beautiful picture of patience and waiting for God’s plan to unfold for Borrowed & Blue Occasions.

When I started B&B back in 2012, I had NO clue what I was doing, but it was with the encouragement of my family and my girl Elisabeth Carol Photography that kept me going and wanting to grow more and more.

My first website!! Thanks to Elisabeth Carol Photography

After graduating college from Dallas Baptist University, I started a part-time job as the Worship Administrative Assistant at Pantego Bible Church. I told them in my interview that I would be there no longer than 2 years, so I could focus on my business. Four years later and I finally made the leap! hahah. God really does have a sense of humor.

After meeting my handsome husband, he did what any dream fiancé would do and asked me about my dreams for B&B. After telling him my goals and aspirations he told me we were going to do whatever we had to do to get me full-time by the beginning of 2017. Can we say SWOON?

After years of praying and hard work, it was finally happening. I spent the next four months prepping to leave my current job and have things ready for the new year. The date had been set and I would be going full-time January 1, 2017!

Now, I am almost 1 month in and I am so blown away to see how perfect God’s plan was! I am so busy and can hardly believe that I was working two jobs at the same time. This year is going to be one that I look back on and am truly blessed to see how far we’ve come.
2017. Let’s go!

Kevin and Kimberly were so adorable & I loved being able to work with them on their gorgeous Stonegate Mansion Wedding. This wedding was definitely memorable since they were the last wedding I did before our own wedding! And it was the perfect way to end 2016! I hope you enjoy these stunning photos from Alba Rose Photography.
