Is there a limited about of times that you can post a picture?? I mean come on…how can you not stop looking at this shot? The dress and those florals are amazing.

I posted this picture because this is a great summary of my weekend. I spent the majority of it really digging into Borrowed & Blue and what I was hoping for it to become. I kept looking at this picture thinking…this is what I want.

Classically beautiful & full of grace.

That is what I want to be known for. That is what I want for my couples and the way they feel when they look over their pictures and are reminded of their day. So, that is what I am striving for.

The next few months are going to be an amazing journey of figuring out who my company is and what it can be & I cannot wait to experience it with you!

So, let’s do it!

It’s the first Wednesday of the New Year!

For those of you that this is your first time to see Wedding Video Wednesday, welcome! I started doing this about 7 months ago when I realized how many other people loved wedding videos as much as I do! I think cinematography is a huge part of your wedding day and something that you should always incorporate into your budget. Not all of these videos are from weddings Borrowed & Blue has styled or coordinated, but I love featuring other people’s work! The videos featured are from Pinterest, Facebook, or some awesome wedding blogs. This is a great way to see other cinematographers, photographers and coordinators work & find some amazing ideas, or if you’re me, just drool over the love that is shown in these videos

I am so excited to share this video that I found the other day by PenWeddings (One of my top cinematographers ;))

Happy New Year!! I am so excited for 2015 and cannot wait to see what happens.

These past two weeks have been a little crazy, but I made sure to take some time off from work and Borrowed & Blue just to give my body and brain a rest. I do have some awesome news, but first, let’s recap!

First was our Family Service & then Candlelight

&&& we made it SNOW.

We had such a great team of guys that played with us & definitely made the just night having them there.

This girl. She keeps me young 😉

I loved that Tim invited the Worship & Media Teams to come ring in the New Year with us. They mean so much to Pantego Bible Church and it was so great to get to celebrate this past year and dream about 2015.

This is the image I posted for 2015 & it could not have been said any better.

I have huge dreams for 2015 and I’m hoping it’ll include things like:

– A brand that speaks to my brides
– A simple, new website
– Buying a house (ekkkkk!)
– Bigger and better things for my couples

&& so much more, but I can’t give it all away at once 😉

I encourage you to take this year and make it your best & not because Instagram tells you are, but because you were completely yourself and succeeded the way you wanted to.

Happy 2015 everyone!

Borrowed & Blue is officially on vacation until the New Year.
I seriously cannot wait to share some amazing things that will be taking place in 2015!

“You know all those things you’ve always wanted to do?
You should go DO THEM.”

– Lara Casey , 2015 PowerSheets

There’s a moment when you realize that what you are doing is exactly where you want to be. This is such a sweet moment because it drives you to be better and bring the best experience for your clients. That is what 2015 is for. It’s a chance to show who Borrowed & Blue is and how much we love our brides. I hope you are ready 2015 is going to be great!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
I hope that everyone is soaking up the holidays and getting to spend them with loved ones!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Sometimes you have post like last weekend and sometimes you have ones that are short and sweet. For me this either means two things; I was so in the moment that I didn’t have time to take pictures (which is never a bad thing) or that I was so relaxed and had a weekend of a little R&R. This was not the case for this past weekend, for if I had taken a lot of pics, it would’ve been a lot of pictures of traffic and last minute Christmas shopping – you can’t say anything, you know we are all guilty of it at some point. hahah

As some of you know, my grandmother suffered from a stroke almost three weeks ago. This past Tuesday we drove to Lubbock to have her transported to a rehab facility in Mansfield so she could be close to family. She has been quite the trooper and we have seen huge amounts of improvement! Praise the Lord!

She has a roommate named Lucy and she is quite the hoot. Every time I step foot in her room I always walk out laughing – and so does Nana. Since she has a long road of recovery ahead of her, I decided to keep up with some of the funny things Lucy says, so that when she is released we will have some funny memories to look back on. This is Round 1.

Have a very Merry Christmas!!

Yesterday I turned 25. Holy Moly.

BUT that was not all I did this weekend. The weekend kicked off with a birthday dinner with some of my favorite ladies. Ever since college we have held a tradition to celebrate each girls birthday and that is just what we did.

I love taking an old tradition and sharing it with new friends! Thanks for coming friends! It was so much fun!

Saturday night, the birthday celebrations continued, but it wasn’t just for me! We also got to have our annual mother/daughter birthday celebration!! Our birthdays are 3 days apart, so we always like to party together with our family.

Eno’s was the perfect place to carb load before Sunday’s race!! Plus it’s delicious!!

& no trip to Bishop Arts would be complete with out a pit stop by Emporium Pies.

After 3.5 months of training, $500 in donations and a lot of prayer. The day finally came.

This girl. First, if you have never read Never Serious Blog, you will add it to your daily read. Natalie was my first bride of 2014, and we have a had a special bond ever since. She was running the full and I was so proud & loved getting to spend my time before the race catching up!

Little did this guy know, he was my best friend our last three miles. This was at mile 13, I was determined to beat my time and finish strong!

To God be the glory! My goal was to run under 1:58 (my last time) and I did by two minutes!!

A big, big, big THANK YOU to my amazing pit crew!! I don’t know what I would’ve done without you!

This whole experience was so rewarding. I originally decided to run this race when I found out that it was scheduled on my birthday, but I have always had a special place in my heart for human trafficking. It is around us every day and we don’t even know it. I knew the training process was going to be long, but I knew it would be easier knowing I had something to work towards. I was blown away at the response when the fundraiser began and so humbled to know that many people wanted to raise awareness. I am beside myself and don’t know what to say to thank you enough.

I am already considering Cowtown and the Rock N’ Roll Half. I always forget how hooked you get when you start running!!

This weekend was the best and I loved soaking up every single moment.

Have a great week! Only 10 days until Christmas!!!

This has been a crazy week so far. We all know what happens in December, Christmas Parties. A LOT OF THEM. BUT, it is a great way to step away from work and celebrate Christ and everything He has blessed us with.

This weeks video is so precious and I can’t wait for you to meet Abby & Adam

Happy Wednesday!

It’s officially December. Hallelujah. Just ignore the dumb weather outside and we can press on with Christmas decorations, music and parties! (oh the parties) This past weekend I did a whole lot of nothing. Considering we spent the whole week at the church decorating the stage for Christmas and preparing for Sunday, the weekend just felt like a good time to relax.

I forgot to get a picture of it once it was lit up, but I’ll be sure and get one this week 🙂

I also drew the winners for my Holiday Giveaway!! Thank you to everyone that participated!! Ladies, your packages are going in the mail today!!IMG_8906

Saturday night I met my youngest brother up at DBU for their Annual Choir Christmas Concert. Let’s just say I feel old. BUT this girl, on the conductors stand, did an amazing job!! I am so proud of her!IMG_8917

The concert was amazing, as always and made me miss being a pat of it.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! It’s officially 6 days until race day!!
