This is one of the most fun/scariest things I have ever done. Hosting a dinner for 50 of your closest Wedding Industry friends is so exciting, but just a tad intimidating. BUT, I am so glad I did it. It was so great to spend the evening gathered around others that get you. I was introduced to this group about 8 months ago and was so honored and thankful to be a part of a community that is so intentional on building one another up and creating a place that is safe. These people are from all walks of life and experience, with one goal in mind, to make something beautiful.

These people are seriously the best.

A HUGE shout out to all the vendors that made this night a dream!

Whew! This past month has gone by so fast, I feel like we JUST had the 4th of July. Well, with busyness comes the lack of drive, but after an amazing weekend with my girls, I am ready to rock.

For those that know me, you know how much I LOVE Southern Weddings Magazine! I read their blog every day along with all of the girls on Instagram and would love to – one day- take a sneak peek into their everyday lives.

This weeks video is so exciting! After many years of following SW, you tend to feel like you’ve stepped into their shoes and that’s just how I felt after watching Meredith & Beau’s Video. The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Southern Weddings, Lara Casey, is very near and dear to Meredith after years of Meredith watching her sweet girl- Gracie, you can’t help but feel like a part of the family!

There are very few times where a rainy day can turn into the perfect day & this was one of them. Despite the storm that was supposed to blow through Brynn and Mark’s Backyard wedding, they were surrounded by their close friends and family and just in time, the rain cleared and it brought with it a cool breeze and a sense of peace.

I am so excited to share with you, these gorgeous photos by Elisabeth Carol Photography.

Meet Mr & Mrs Mark Ahlenius:

A special thank you to all the vendors that made this possible!

There were so many things that I was able to celebrate this month and in honor of all that goodness I wanted to do a little giveaway!!

“These are a few of my favorite things!”

I have been so tempted to go and buy all this stuff for myself!!

This make up bag is perfect for overnight stays and holding onto my all time favorite chapstick- Baby Lips. I have never had softer lips  than when I use this stuff. And who can go wrong with some pale pink Essie Nail polish to kick of the Spring!

For those ladies that LOVE LOVE LOVE the Blue Volcano Candle from Anthropologie, this is the exact same thing, but for a much more affordable price. The last two goodies are a box of adorable note cards and my favorite pack of Notebooks by Rifle Paper Co.!

Kelsey (the bride) and I have been friends since the 4th grade & when she told me that her and her man had finally decided to get hitched I was thrilled!

These two were probably the most calm couple I had ever met. There was such a peace over them and I was so happy to share this day with them. A special ‘thank you’ to Zac & Kaitlin for capturing all the moments in the day.

Get the tissues ready.
