Kimberly and Kevin are so precious and have one of the sweetest proposal stories! I loved sitting in Brewed with my assistant talking about how they met and dreaming of their gorgeous day. We are so excited to have the future Forister’s as a part of the Borrowed & Blue Couples.

I may be a little biased, but the person you choose to entrust with one of the most important days of your life – some refer to as the wedding planner. This person should not only have access to a wide variety of vendors, but a passion for people and a love for all things gorgeous! So, I knew that whoever was holding my day would have to be someone very special – and I had just the person!

I am 100% for Wedding Planners – OBVIOUSLY. BUT I will be the first to admit that I was trying every angle to not have to hire one. I mean, I am a wedding planner right?? COME ON. How hard could it be to plan MY wedding. After much denial, I decided to grab coffee with my girl Lottie over at Grit + Gold Weddings. Lottie and I met up a while back over drinks and I immediately knew she was awesome. This woman has an amazing eye for design and is always up for a challenge. We sat Friday morning talking about life and eventually my wedding planning came up and I was kind of embarrassed to say that I -the wedding planner – didn’t have a wedding planner!
Y’all. I cannot even tell you the weight that was lifted after I booked Grit + Gold and realized that I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. I could sit upstairs and soak up those sweet moments with my girls. PRAISE THE LAWD. And we didn’t just choose to go with them because Lottie and I are friends, but because they are some of the BEST and we knew that we would have NOTHING to worry about with them on our team.
So remember, when you are debating on whether or not hiring a Wedding Planner is worth the search and money, we are on your side! We want the absolutely very best for you and your groom!
I think one of the hardest parts of planning a wedding is trying to keep the same theme going through out everything you do. So, when it cam time to pick our save the dates, I knew exactly where to look! If you are a bride on a budget, then Etsy is the place for you! It’s the perfect place to blend your style with affordable prices.
These are the 3 we were looking at:
Shop: Hazel Bloom Boutique
Shop: Kibb K Studio
I loved all of the above ones, but I honestly fell in love with the one we chose instantly! When purchasing from Mallory, we picked her not just based on design, but based on the fact that she would print and mail them to us. For us that saved us a step of having to get them printed and the price difference between DIY printing and having her printing was so small that it was worth it to just have her do it.
So here we go!!!
Shop: Mallory Hope Design
We can’t wait to send these out to our friends and family and get this party started!!
Y’ALL. Brittany is the picture of a Southern Bride! When we met for our initial meeting, she said that she wants to incorporate as much Southern tradition as possible & she did!! Here is a sneak peak from Elisabeth Carol Photography!!

Lindsay + Kyle are so adorable and are one of the most laid back couples I have ever met! Lindsay knew exactly what she wanted, but didn’t let the stress of the day get to her. I loved watching these two interact. Their wedding was nothing short of awesome! Between a rocking catering team and a 90’s cover band – it was quite the party!
First thing first – I’m the realist – hah just kidding!! But for real. Happy 2nd Birthday to Borrowed & Blue Occasions!!
I am so beside myself and cannot wrap my mind around everything that has happened over the past two years & the people that have helped me get there. It truly is a great feeling when you are walking in the place the Lord has put you & I could not be more grateful. I have met so many people along the way that have driven, encouraged and influenced me to become the business that I want my couples to experience & that has brought me to encounter do many incredible couples!
I hope you love the rebrand! I was so excited when the Lord lead me to be intentional this year and that meant in every aspect of my life. So, I started with my branding and from there came a little facelift to my website! I have also added something new to my packaging and I am so excited about seeing where that goes!
So grab a cup of tea or coffee on this dreary Monday and take a look around and let me know what you think!
Also, be sure and keep and eye out for an awesome giveaway to celebrate #BandBOccasionsTurns2 that include goodies from some amazing vendors!!
PS: HUGE hugs go out to XOGinny – the girl behind my stunning new logo & Elisabeth Carol for rocking it and pulling every last detail in my new website together! you two are rockstars and I could not have done it without you!
Happy Snow Day!!!
Well… you know. Ice Day.
I don’t know about you, but I needed this SO badly.
Starting Thursday night we spent the next 3 days leading worship at a DNOW in Arlington. I just love taking a step back from the planning portion of my brain and use the small creative portion to just worship. It was so good for my soul.
I hope that your weekend was relaxing & fun & that you are getting the chance to relax and do amazing things today!
