This is one of the most fun/scariest things I have ever done. Hosting a dinner for 50 of your closest Wedding Industry friends is so exciting, but just a tad intimidating. BUT, I am so glad I did it. It was so great to spend the evening gathered around others that get you. I was introduced to this group about 8 months ago and was so honored and thankful to be a part of a community that is so intentional on building one another up and creating a place that is safe. These people are from all walks of life and experience, with one goal in mind, to make something beautiful.

These people are seriously the best.

A HUGE shout out to all the vendors that made this night a dream!

YALL. Aren’t Mollie & Jacob just the most adorable couple ever?! I met Mollie a while back when she first reached out about me helping with her wedding and loved her sweet heart. She has been so patient through the planning and has never lost sight of just wanting to marry her sweet fiancé. Now, enjoy these gorgeous photos from Jennefer Wilson Photography!

Kevin and Kimberly were so adorable & I loved being able to work with them on their gorgeous Stonegate Mansion Wedding. This wedding was definitely memorable since they were the last wedding I did before our own wedding! And it was the perfect way to end 2016! I hope you enjoy these stunning photos from Alba Rose Photography.

In His Words:

“I love her because we are totally different, but altogether the same. Where I am extreme she is balanced; where I am unsure, she is confident; where I am weak she is strong; and vice versa. And as vast as those differences are, we always end up on the same page, because the same God has brought us there.

In God’s story, Stephen Breeding has a story, Sarah Sims has a story, and now, Sarah Sims and Stephen Breeding have a story together. Each of these stories is messy, but good. We’re thrilled about our story, as are those who know it best. We welcome you to be excited with us as our story continues to unfold within the bigger Story.”

I had been following Sarah on Facebook since we both had attended Dallas Baptist University. When I saw her post about getting engaged to her love, I couldn’t help hope that I’d be able to be a part of their day!

You know those people that you have never met, but their joy is so infectious that you just want to be around them? That was Sarah! I was so honored when her and Stephen chose Borrowed & Blue Occasions to be a part of such a special day! Congrats you guys! Can’t wait to celebrate at Marco Island Resort in April!

It’s always such an honor when you get to play a role in your friends wedding and this one was no different. Brett and Brittany met in our Young Adult Home Group and immediately had sparks! We all knew, from the beginning, that they would get married and when the day finally came, they were surrounded by all their friends and family and had a blast breaking it down on the dance floor.

I couldn’t help but throw in one of this hot guy on the dance floor 😉

I think one of the hardest parts of planning a wedding is trying to keep the same theme going through out everything you do. So, when it cam time to pick our save the dates, I knew exactly where to look! If you are a bride on a budget, then Etsy is the place for you! It’s the perfect place to blend your style with affordable prices.

These are the 3 we were looking at:

Shop: Hazel Bloom Boutique

Shop: Kibb K Studio

Shop: Fotovella

I loved all of the above ones, but I honestly fell in love with the one we chose instantly! When purchasing from Mallory, we picked her not just based on design, but based on the fact that she would print and mail them to us. For us that saved us a step of having to get them printed and the price difference between DIY printing and having her printing was so small that it was worth it to just have her do it.

So here we go!!!

We can’t wait to send these out to our friends and family and get this party started!!

First thing first – I’m the realist – hah just kidding!! But for real. Happy 2nd Birthday to Borrowed & Blue Occasions!!

I am so beside myself and cannot wrap my mind around everything that has happened over the past two years & the people that have helped me get there. It truly is a great feeling when you are walking in the place the Lord has put you & I could not be more grateful. I have met so many people along the way that have driven, encouraged and influenced me to become the business that I want my couples to experience & that has brought me to encounter do many incredible couples!

I hope you love the rebrand! I was so excited when the Lord lead me to be intentional this year and that meant in every aspect of my life. So, I started with my branding and from there came a little facelift to my website! I have also added something new to my packaging and I am so excited about seeing where that goes!

So grab a cup of tea or coffee on this dreary Monday and take a look around and let me know what you think!

Also, be sure and keep and eye out for an awesome giveaway to celebrate #BandBOccasionsTurns2 that include goodies from some amazing vendors!!

PS: HUGE hugs go out to XOGinny – the girl behind my stunning new logo & Elisabeth Carol for rocking it and pulling every last detail in my new website together! you two are rockstars and I could not have done it without you!
